THE
MYSTERY OF
THE OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECY REVEALED.
Prepared for lectureship in
Montgomery, Alabama 02/12-14 2009
By Jessie E. Mills, D.M. Ph. D

FL 32425. REVISED EDITION.
Brethren in Nashville, Tenn. and I have
together searched to find an article or book written on the above subject,
since after months of not finding any articles except what is written in
commentaries, and that is little, and does not serve the purpose that I wish to
present. Therefore, since the Mysteries of the
prophets had never been revealed to man, except to Abraham, Gal. 3:8, it was
God’s plan that the Mysteries would be revealed
by Christ and the Apostles in the first century, and would be revealed only once;
and after that, they were revealed, they were finished, completed, and
fulfilled. Today I can fully appreciate all great men who has gone on before
me, who has BELIEVED in the Mysteries of Christianity, and
who was persecuted for
that stand. Further I have lived to see that today men are talking about the Mystery of
Christianity which began in Gen. 3:15, I am happy to say that this lesson has
brought the Old Testament prophecy together with the New, and shows beyond any
Scriptural doubt that the Holy Spirit did in the first century proclaim the
Revelation in full to the saints.
Now since I became acquainted with Foy Wallace,
And began to hear him preach on Radio in
the early sixties, I began to question his teaching; to say the least it was
not what I had been taught in regards to fulfilled prophecy, I began a search
of the Scriptures, remembering that Bro. Paul Simon
had informed me that 1 Tim. 2:15, was
just as important to obey as was Mark 16:16, the results was that the more I
studied the more I learned the truth. Before Bro.
Wallace died he wrote the Revelation, as soon as I received his book in
1967, I began teaching fulfilled prophecy. I could not prove it to be
unscriptural or in error. I have written several books on fulfilled prophecy,
and have a web site ---www.biblicalfulfillment.org
----- all dealing to some degree with fulfilled prophecy, Also in the mid
fifties, my family and I attended Church at Chipley, Florida, where Brother Paul Simon tutored
me for some time though he
is gone I owe a debt of gratitude to him. He was a great teacher. His theme,
Preach all the Word, all the Word is inspired, 2 Tim. 3:16. Bro. Simon did not use the issue of Fulfilled
Prophecy; but he taught all of a subject without picking out
an issue of confusion his issue, which he
pressed was Belief, and obedience. Bro. Simon was
truly an imitator of Christ. When Bro. Simon
said teach all the Word, he implied that to remove only what
the teacher chose out of any
Context, resulted in the lesson being incomplete, and invalid. Therefore,
avail oneself of all the evidence pertaining to the subject, the audience is
required to study allow them the right to find for themselves the truth of the
subject, Rom. 12:2, PROVE WHAT THE WILL OF GOD IS.
It is my intention in this lesson to
show that the Mysteries
of prophecy has in fact been fulfilled in the long ago, and I want to
stress the importance of the word BELIEF, this word was used to describe the
righteousness of Abraham, in Gal. 3:8 he is identified as the believer, Gen.
15:6, keep that in mind, and we will see the importance of this word as we
study the mysteries. Keep in mind that Abraham
was a faithful man, a righteous man, and for many years petitioned God for a
son from his loins; years went by, he and his wife passed the years of child
bearing, he was distressed over the problems in is life. God came and spoke to
him in Gen. 15:1-6, God promised Abraham a son this time next year. Verse 6
informs us that now Abraham believed God’s Word. Belief is an important element
in obtaining God’s blessings. This belief is proven in Gen. 22:1-8, God spoke
to Abraham and said, “take now your son, your only son and offer him as a burnt
offering,” verse 7 “Behold the fire and wood, but where is the Lamb for the
burnt offering?” Verse 8, “God will provide Himself the Lamb for the burnt
offering,”
The above
fact does not stand-alone. I beg that you consider Luke 1:5-33, here we have a
proof reference of disbelief, Zacharias, a
Priest, and his wife had also petitioned God for a child, now their years of
child bearing was gone; but the Angel Gabriel appeared to Zacharias and informed him that his
wife would bear a
son and his name would be called John, and it would be he that would be a
forerunner before Him {Christ}, and John would come in the spirit
of Elijah. Zacharias questioned the Word of God, “how shall I
know for certain?” Verse 20, “and Behold, you shall be silent and unable to
speak until the day when these things take place, BECAUSE
you did not Believe my words, which shall be
fulfilled in their proper time.” After the conception of Christ, Zacharias received the
Holy Spirit and began to
prophesy Luke 1:67-80. Zacharias was a Priest, a
Teacher, he taught Malachi chapters 3-4; but did not Believe God’s Word would
be fulfilled; but the Holy Spirit revealed the Mystery to Zachariah, and he not only became a
believer in fulfilled prophecy; but he became a teacher of it. And today
how many people even Believes 1 Cor. 3:16? In regards to our body being the
Spiritual Temple of God, and that the Holy Spirit dwells therein?
A special note: I choose to speak to
you as if you and I were alone in your home, where the conditions would be One
on One. I am my best when I can be myself, really I try to imitate the Apostle
Paul, who said “he was all things to all people’. Let me say before I offer any
evidence to prove the above fact, that I firmly believe that as the Apostles
revealed the Mysteries; they were completed and
fulfilled; they were no longer a Mystery,
rather a reality to enjoy. Further I believe that as we study each Mystery we will find certain
parts of the Gospel
revealed, either before, or after the sentence which identifies the Mystery, and further yet,
If these parts of the
Gospel has not already been revealed, uncovered to be seen and used as God’s
plan of salvation, then the Gentile World has no Gospel, no Grace, no
Salvation. Common sense tells you that when someone sends you a gift through
Registered mail, you are to open that gift, and use it. If the gift is never
opened you really do not know what it contains! You die, and the gift remains
unopened, who does it benefit? The same is true with the Mysteries; if the Mysteries
are not revealed until sometimes in the future, how do we know about salvation,
Redemption, and the New Spiritual Covenant between Christ and those who will
Believe?
God spoke the first prophecy to the evil Serpent, and to
Eve, and said “I will put enmity between your seed and the seed of the woman,
and you shall bruise Him on the heel, and He shall bruise you on the head”.
Gen. 3:15.
The ramifications of this mysterious
prophecy encompasses the whole N.T. and remained a Mystery until
the Holy Spirit revealed the true meaning to
the Apostles. God’s plan had now been revealed to the saints. It is not to be
fulfilled some time in the future. Heb. 2:14 shows only a part of the
fulfillment. {STUDY}
God and the prophets used types, patterns,
and shadows.
If they are not to be revealed until sometime in the future, then they are
useless to us for we are not Jews, and the only religion would be Judaism!
However, Scripturally speaking that is not the case. If it was the case then
Eph. 2:8-16, is in Error. Do you believe these Scriptures are in Error?
Eph.
2:11-16, brings the Mystery to light, that
is
it reveals the truth that no one can deny without blaspheming the Holy Spirit;
but we must remember there are in all the Churches those who will do just that,
in order to have their traditional ways, I suggest that in most cases the
Elders is to blame for the truth not being taught in the Churches of Christ;
they are not “apt to teach”. Why are they
not
“Apt to teach”? Most Elders is chosen because of their wealth, popularity, and
outgoing appearance, not because of their knowledge of God’s Word; they are the
ones who should be able Scripturally to discuss any issue within the Bible on
God’s terms, not on the traditional opinions of the preacher, who in past years
has become CHURCH PASTORS; they are the ones who
first makes Church policy, and the Elders says, “YES”.
Knowing for oneself, and proving what the Will of God is, Rom. 12:1-2, is one
of the most important qualifications for an Elder; but we will speak upon that
thought again shortly. “Therefore remember, that formerly you the Gentiles in
the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by the so called Circumcision, which
is performed in the flesh by human hands. Remember that you were at one time
separate from Christ, excluded from the common wealth of Israel, and strangers
to the Covenant of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But
now in the Messiah you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the
blood of the Messiah For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into
one, and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His
flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances,
that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing
peace. And might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by
it having put to death the enmity” Eph.
2:11-16. Read Rom. Ch 11, for understanding this Mystery, the grafting in of the Gentiles, then it will help to
read Matt. 21:43.
Eph.
2:12, Let the futurist chew on this for a while----If
the Mystery of
the Old Testament has not been revealed, then these passages is in
error, and the Gentiles has no hope and are without God. To deny what the Holy
Spirit has written through the Apostle is to show malice toward the Holy
Spirit, which constitutes blasphemy Matt. 12:32. Now this is terrible; but
think of all the Gentiles that has lived and died without God, since the first
century, if the futurist is correct regarding Eph. 2:11-16. That its
fulfillment is yet future! If this were true then Christ has not finished His
Works, and we are without God and have no hope. This is not an opinion but
truth.
Such argument
is of the darkness, and I will teach
them, the written Word, all of the written Word; but I will not teach them
scare tactics, such as Christ’s second coming in fire to destroy the universe,
and restore the Zionist Jews to their original land, neither will I teach a
future judgment and resurrection. I will love them, I will study the truth with
them, but I will not join into traditional opinions that cannot be proven
Scripturally. Further I will expose them, whether they be in the Church of
Christ or denomination, Eph. 5:10-12.
1 Cor. 2:11-16,
“For who among men knows the thoughts
of a man except the spirit of the man, which is in him, even so the thoughts of God no one knows, except the Spirit of God, -- V. 12, now we have
received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit who is from God, that we
might know the things freely given to us by God, V 13, Which things we also
speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit,
combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words, V. 14, but a natural man does
not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him,
and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised”.
AN IMPORTANT
PROCLAMATION.
I followed the
teaching of FOY
WALLACE, until his death, after his death I was so in love with the idea
of restoring first century teaching that I really began to study the teaching
of fulfilled prophecy. I studied the prophets in the Southern Christian
University, And in the International Bible College in LA. I soon learned that
before they were fulfilled; they were mysteries,
and that they remained mysteries according to
God’s will until the time of the Messiah and the Apostles, I found that it was
God’s plan from the beginning, Heb. 4:3, For the Messiah to be crucified, and
the Holy Spirit be sent to them, Acts chapters one and two, that they, the
Apostles was given authority to unwrap the mysteries and
teach them. It is an inexpugnable fact that when the mysteries
was revealed by the Holy Spirit to the Apostles, then they were no longer a mystery;
they were completed finished, and fulfilled.
This fact is affirmed by Zacharias the father of
John the Baptist after
He had received the Holy Spirit and began to reveal the Mystery
surrounding his son and the Messiah, Luke 1:67-80.
Which the Holy Spirit revealed
to him; thus sayeth The Inspired Scriptures.
In my quest to
continue to teach the fulfillment of
prophecy and to Restore first century teaching, I have remained in the South, I
have taught in other states, as well as the Islands in the west Indies, India,
Africa, Philippines, Canada, I have several books that I have written, I have a
Web Site, www.biblicalfulfillment.org
I am 80 years of age, in a wheel chair; But I will continue to teach the Mystery
of the Gospel as my early tutor Paul Simon encouraged me
to teach that Bible which
will Restore the Lord’s Church, that is every Scripture which is Inspired by
God, 2 Tim. 3:16. I therefore, proclaim that 1 Cor. 2:11-16 Separates those who
oppose fulfilled prophecy, and those who are truly teaching what the Spirit has
written. According to this passage those who oppose fulfilled prophecy are
those described in verse 14, they are natural man, and do not have the Spirit
of God. They are natural because they will not openly discuss this issue. I
further proclaim that their real reason falls into the category of Rom. 14:10,
there is no other reason, so they remain a natural man! Rom. 14:10, but you,
why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother
with contempt? For we shall stand before the judgement seat of God…I have
served two Churches during 50 years as an Elder, and preacher, I served with
great men, men who would stop a Gospel meeting when a preacher would skip over
several verses in Scripture reading, simply because he did not believe in the
things that the Holy Spirit had written through the Apostle. In short, some
things were foolishness to Him--- “The things of God”. Results were that the
main subject of the Scriptures were left MUTE, I
proclaim that every Scripture is inspired by God, and is profitable for
teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, 2 Tim.
3:16. The Churches that I have served as an Elder believed this strongly, and
the Elders would not allow a preacher, or teacher to pass over scripture that
was in the context of his lesson. I PROCLAIM that our God fully intended that
the Church carry on in this fashion.
BEGINNING
THE STUDY OF THE MYSTERIES OF THE HOLY PROPHETS.
Dan. 4:9, the
occasion for this mystery was
that
dream, or vision that King Nebuchadnezzar had in this chapter. King
Nebuchadnezzar was troubled in regards to his dream, called for all his wise
men, and conjures, those who were supposed to interpret dreams. However, these
men could not interpret this dream, the King called for Daniel, Daniel came to
him, Notice what the king says to Daniel, keep in mind that Daniel’s name had
been changed to Belteshazzar, “O, Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, since I
know that a Spirit of the holy god’s is in you and no MYSTERY
baffles you, tell me the vision of my dream which I have seen along with its
interpretation.”
The first thing
to notice is that Daniel was to relate
to the King in detail what he had dreamed, and then turn and give him the
interpretation. The king to show that Daniel truly had the Spirit of God, and
that God would work through only the man that possessed the Spirit of God did
this. And so, Daniel foretold the King’s dream, and gave him the
interpretation. God used Daniel in just the same way that the Holy Spirit used
the Apostles. God related to Daniel what he was supposed to say, the MYSTERY
was opened up, revealed, finished, fulfilled,
this should serve as a pattern in the New Testament, for it is a pattern, and a
type of what would take place in the New Testament, in regards to the Mysteries in
the New Testament.
There are some
important points that the reader should
consider.
# 1. The Kings
wise men, and conjures, were just men;
they did not have the spirit of God in them.
# 2. They did
not believe in the things of God; they
were foolishness to them, they were the natural man.
# 3. Now we come
to the man, who believed in the
things of god, in as much as he laid his life down in the defense of the truth.
He had the Spirit of God in him; therefore God could work through him and did.
Little did Daniel know that what he was doing here would serve as a pattern for
revealing the New Testament Mysteries? That
only men who possessed the Spirit of God was chosen to reveal the Mysteries
of the Gospel, like the Mystery of the King,
when the Mystery was revealed by men of God concerning the Gospel of
Christ, it was completed, finished, fulfilled.
Matt. 24:14,
informs us that these men Would go over
the whole earth and reveal the Gospel to every creature under heaven, also Col.
1:23. Then in Col. 1:26, Paul says that “the Mystery which has been hidden
from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints”.
Now consider this statement: If Col. 1:26 is inspired by God, it is true: in
this scripture the Holy Spirit said in the first century, “But now has been
manifested to His saints”. Manifested, means to make known, to reveal, to open
up to understanding, what was manifested? The Mystery
of the gospel of the Messiah, If it was
manifested to every creature under heaven, 1 Cor. 1:23, then there is nothing
left to be fulfilled. Dan.12: 6-7, the angel makes known to Daniel that when
the power of the holy people was destroyed, all these things would be
completed. Fulfilled.
Eph. 1:3-9, look at the things that were revealed under this Mystery.
# 1. “Blessed
be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places
in Christ”.
The heavenly
places in the Messiah is to be in His
Body, the Church of the Messiah Rom. 6:3-12, Rom. 12:5, “we are one Body in Christ.” Present your bodies a living
sacrifice, Sacrifice the things of the world, you cannot serve God and the
Devil; let a Christian light shine, so that others can see Christ in you. Rom.
12:1, And Prove what the Will of God is how can you prove what the will of God
is unless you study God’s Word. You cannot let the preacher, teacher, or Elder
study for you. God must approve of your personal study, Rom 12:2, 2 Tim. 2:15,
2 Tim. 3:16.
# 2. Verse 4,
“Just as He chose us in Him before the
foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him in
Love.” No one has ever known, {except Abraham Gal. 3:8} That God planned for us
in the beginning, before the foundation of the world, And in that plan he also
planned for our salvation, and upon applying your life to the revelation which
is directly connected to this verse in Rom. 6:3-12, then you are holy and
blameless.
# 3. Verse 5,
“He predestined us to adoption as sons
through Jesus Christ Himself, according to His will”.
Rom. 8:12-16,
fully explains God’s plan for the
converted person, who is directly connected to this statement, He predestined
us to adoption as sons; but only
through the Messiah. Now if this mystery
had never been revealed before, even from the
beginning until the Apostle said, “This mystery
has now been manifested”. Col. 1:26. So likewise this mystery
in Eph. 1:3-9, has also been manifested, it has been revealed. Rom. 8:12-16,
informs us what we must do to become “adopted sons.” How
could the Apostle teach such Spiritual
things if God’s plan had not been revealed to him, as it was to Abraham, Gal.
3:8?
# 4. Verse 6,
“To the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the
Beloved.”
“The glory of His grace,
which He freely bestowed on us in the beloved”.
First let it
be known that under the law of
Commandments men was not saved by the Grace of God, Grace was not known until
Messiah the Beloved came, and died for our sins, since that time until eternity
men are known as Abraham was, he was known as Abraham the believer, because of
faith and grace, but that ended with Jacob. Eph. 2:8, Now, Grace was a part of
the mystery that God with held from the
finishing of His Works, Heb. 4:3, until Christ, the full mystery
of the Gospel was revealed to the Apostles
during Pentecost and for the rest of their lives. Men, who preached the Gospel,
preached that which the Apostles had revealed beforehand.
Eph. 3:3, when
the Apostle said, “That by revelation
there was made known to me the Mystery, as I
wrote before in brief”. From this statement that Paul wrote, --- “As I wrote
before in brief.” It seems that Paul had written this Church before in brief,
which means that at that time all the Mystery was
not revealed to him, or them. However, in this letter the Mystery
is now revealed in full, Eph. 5:32 makes this
known. Eph. 5:32, “This Mystery is great; but
I
am speaking with reference to Christ and the Church”. The Church of Christ was
a great Mystery, Isa. 2:1-4. Since Paul was
chosen from his mothers womb, Gal. 1:15, to establish Christianity in the
Gentile nations, Acts 9:15, Paul then had a full load to carry, he had no time
for entertainment, or ball games. Therefore, Paul was able to preach and that
being recorded in the book of Acts, relates to us in Acts 20:28, in regards to
the Messiah and the Church, he says, “He purchased the Church of God with His
own blood”. If you go and purchase a new car, you pay cash for the car do you
not want the title to that car in your name? But if one name in Christianity is
as good as another then why not put the title for the car in my name. Surely if
one church is as good as another, then on your title put my name on the title,
where is the difference?
Col. 1:27, “To
whom God willed to make known what is
the riches of the glory of this Mystery among the
Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”. If you go back to Col.
1:13-20, you will find in detail the interpretations of this passage, “All
things were created by the Messiah and for the Messiah for he is THE head of
THE body THE Church, He is the beginning”. This Mystery
reveals the passion of the Messiah the terrible suffering, the shame he
suffered, the horrible death, all because He Loved us, he became our Counselor,
the prophesied Messiah, the government rested upon His shoulders, he would be
our King in His Kingdom, and there would be no end to His Government, or of His
Kingdom, Isa. 9:6-7. If this part
of the
Mystery was fulfilled, then the other Mysteries, which
describes other parts of the Gospel of the Messiah is also fulfilled. What was
left to be fulfilled? Answer in the second paragraph below.
{Give attention
to this statement}, Most Christians
are unaware that the New Testament describes the events of Fulfilled prophecy
as IMMINENT events that were to occur before the generation of Christ’s
Apostles passed away. The majority of Christian teachers today rarely explains
or even mentions these events in their Sermons or Bible classes, and if members
of the audiences brings up for discussions these events; they are branded as
HERETICS. This is sad; but the people themselves are responsible for allowing
such policy to exist. The Church cannot exist without people; people have a
pressing need to speak out.
“WHAT
IS LEFT TO BE FULFILLED?”
Question: Who
outside the New Testament promoted
fulfilled prophecy?
Do we have documentation of saints during the first century, or soon
thereafter of saints who experienced the Redemption, the Resurrection, and the
judgment of the Prince of this World, A.D. 70 fulfillment of Christ’s return,
and when God’s revelation of Himself was finished?
Athanasius, the
Great defender of Christian Orthodoxy
{A.D. 296-373}, did not live in the first century but in his teachings as an
Elder of several different Churches, from Egypt to the North, and were
persecuted by the Jews for teaching fulfilled prophecy, and was imprisoned on
several occasions for holding to the teaching of the Apostles, as soon as he
was released from one prison, he began teaching for another Church away from
his enemies; but they would follow him. “For now that He has come to our realm,
and taken up His abode in one body among peers, henceforth the whole conspiracy
of the enemy against mankind is checked, and THE CORRUPTION OF DEATH WHICH
BEFORE WAS PREVALING AGAINST THEM IS DONE AWAY”. {Athanasius On the Incarnation
of the Word, Section 9 Verse 4; cf. 1 Cor. 15:21-26}.
Athanasius, “Perhaps
with regard to the other
{prophecies} {the Jews} may be able even to find excuses and put off what is
written to a future time. But what can they say to Daniel’s 70 weeks, or can
they face it at all? Where not only the Christ referred to, but He that is to
be anointed is declared to be not man simply, but Holy of Holies; and Jerusalem
IS TO STAND TILL HIS COMING, AND THENCEFORTH, PROPHETS AND VISION CEASE IN
ISRAEL. {Anthanasius on the Incarnation of the Word, section 39 Verse 3; cf
Dan. 9:24 ff}.
“And this
was why Jerusalem stood till then, namely,
that there they might be exercised in the types as a preparation for the
reality. FROM THAT TIME FORTH ALL PROPHECY IS SEALED and the city and temple
taken… Why are {the Jews} so irreligious
and perverse as to see what happened, and yet to DENY CHRIST, who has brought
it all to pass? … WHAT THEN HAS NOT COME TO PASS, WHICH THE CHRIST MUST DO?
WHAT? And what is left UNFULFILLED? That the Jews should now disbelieve with
impunity? {Anthanasius, On the Incarnation of the Word, section 40 verses 1-8}.
“THE DEVIL,
THAT TYRANT AGAINST THE WHOLE WORLD IS
SLAIN…NO MORE DOES DEATH REIGN, Heb. 2:14, 2 Tim. 1:10… {Anthanasius, the
Festal Letters, Letter IV. No. 3, 4.}
“He has
raised us from the dead; having abolished
death, He has brought Life, and says WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY, O DEATH? WHERE IS
YOUR STING?”
{Athanasius the Festal letters, Letter VI. No 9-12}. “What
is left to be fulfilled”?
It will serve
as a good education to any seeker of the
truth to read the book of Barnabus, the
companion of Paul. ---- Also the early Church fathers. ---- The writings of Constantine
the Emperor of Rome in the Third Century
before he became a Christian and until his death. ----Also
Philo of Egypt.
Col. 4:3, “Praying
at the same time for us as well,
that God may open to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the Mystery
of the Messiah for which I have been
imprisoned”. Here Paul speaks of being imprisoned, indeed he served at least
two prison terms, he killed no one; but because of teaching the Mysteries
of the Messiah the Jews accused Him of
teaching falsely.
# 1. The Apostle
willingly went to the prison at Rome,
while in prison he taught the Mystery, the Gospel
of the Messiah he converted many of the guards who watched over him. Many
people heard of this great teacher; they came to Paul to hear the Mystery
revealed to the saints, they were converted
to the Messiah.
# 2. If the Mystery
has not been revealed how then could the Apostle teach something that had never
been revealed? The Holy Spirit not the Apostles revealed the Mystery
of Israel, their destruction, the exact time
when the Covenant would be taken from Israel and Given to the Gentiles, Gen.
49:10; Zech. 14:1-5; Luke 21:1-32, especially verses 20, and 22; Matt. 24:1-34,
The Messiah Reveals the end time for Israel, not the end of the world, the time
when the Messiah would give His Kingdom to a nation that would bear fruit of
it, Matt. 21:43. Luke 21:20-32.
In the love chapter
of 1 Cor. 13:2, the Apostle says,
“And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all Mysteries
and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains,
but do not have love, I am nothing”.
Matt. 13:11,
34, 35, the Messiah speaks to His
Disciples and says, “And He answered and said to them to you it has been
granted to know the Mysteries of the Kingdom
of
Heaven, but to them it has not been granted”.
# 1. Something interesting
about this statement. Notice here that the Messiah at the beginning of
His ministry he told the Disciples, who would later become the Apostles; you
have been granted to know the Mysteries of the
Kingdom of Heaven. All I can say my friends and brethren, if you are not yet
convinced that the Mysteries of the Old
Testament prophecy has not been in the first century completed and fulfilled.
Then I cannot judge you as you tend to judge me, and its funny you judge the
truth wrongly; but besides all that I would pray that God would allow me to
standby while you are being upon your knees, pleading with God. I can hear you;
Father I know that I done my best, I did not study certain things in the Bible
because being an Elder there were certain things that we the Elders took advice
from the preacher who said that we do not want to teach things like fulfilled
prophecy, our attendance will drop, and we cannot control the contributions, we
must have something to create fear in the Church, scare tactics causes people
to give more, Lord I have been a good Elder even in my old age, and even after
I Could not recognize the people of the Church, I cannot call their names; But
I am an Elder until death.---- And I will perhaps hear the Lord say, “you have
not taught the things of God”, turn away
from me, you who work inequity, I never knew you! This is sad, but nevertheless
TRUE. And not only Elders, but also it scares me because I also may be waiting
in that line.
When the Scriptures
speaks in regards to fearing God,
this is also a mystery, the kind of fear that
God speaks of has been revealed. This is one of the reasons given when we
should fear, fear is these last few seconds, when our whole life comes to view,
and that whole life revealed in Heb. 10:27. The Messiah said in Matt. 5:20,
“unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you
shall not enter the Kingdom of Heaven”. This is what the Kingdom of Heaven is
all about; making sure that we have Believed in, and practiced the things of
God, and how can we know unless we Study God’s Word 2 Tim. 2:15.
1 Tim. 3:9, “But
holding to the Mystery of the Faith with a clear conscience.
Some one says, but there is no mystery about
faith!
# 1. First I
beg to differ, because our salvation
hinges on faith and grace.
# 2. Take inventory
of your belief, and honestly write
2 pages on your faith.
#. 3. How much
do you know about the faith and Belief
of Abraham? Without studying his life in Genesis chapter 12 and forward?
# 4. What the
Apostle has reference to here is, that
there was hidden rules of faith that was not known by the ancient people, this mystery
was hidden from the Rejection of Adam and
Eve, until the Messiah and the Apostles. However, since the Gospel was preached
to Abraham, that Gospel included the articles of Faith, Abraham showed his
faith after God spoke to him and informed him to get himself out of his fathers
house, and go to a place where I will show you, Abraham did not question, he
arose got his family and servants together, along with his herd of animals, not
knowing where he was going; but his faith was sufficient. I suggest that the mystery
of this faith has been revealed in words and
examples, the apostle Paul is one of the examples, 1 Cor. 11:1. “Imitate me as
I have imitated Christ.” Read the life of Abraham beginning in Gen. Chapter 12.
See Paul’s pattern.
# 5. There is
in this Mystery
an important element that is proven by this Mystery in
1 Tim. 3:9, Belief and faith goes together, you cannot separate one from the
other, therefore, for the sake of Believing the things of God 1 Cor. 2:14, we
must also have faith sufficient that we accept the things of God, without
question as to their truthfulness. Therefore, this passage in question directly
connects us to the following.
#
6. Eph. 1:7, “In Him we have REDEMPTION through His blood, the
forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His Grace”.
First, do we
have faith, and belief in what is said
above? If so lets test that faith and belief, because this pertains to the
things of God, and it was a Mystery that has in
the first century been revealed, Eph. 3:3,”That by revelation there was made
known to me the Mystery”. Col. 1:26, “This is, the Mystery which has been
{Past tense} hidden from the past ages and generations, but
NOW has been MANIFESTED to His saints.”
When we think of Redemption, we should think of the price that the Messiah paid
in order to Redeem those spirits from Adam to the cross, an then there are
those from the cross until this day; they have been redeemed, the Messiah
paid the price, and looked down at the people
and said Father forgive them, for they know not what they do, Luke 23:34.
NOW, these verses
shows beyond doubt that the Mystery was revealed
in the first century, and was
finished, completed, and fulfilled all the Old Testament prophecies….
So now the test…. You
believe in the Redemption, do you know
what REDEMPTION really encompasses? Let me give you an example and see if you
BELIEVE. Redemption according to Scripture began in Heb. 2:14, “Since then the
children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the
same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of
death that is, the Devil.” The Mystery
of Gen.
3:15 is here revealed.
Since the rejection
of the things of God by Adam and
Eve, the Devil, Satan, the serpent, was given power by God to hold the departed
spirits in the Hadean world, which was the residence of Satan also, these
departed spirits were divided into two groups, one group was the Righteous, the
other group was the wicked, there was a great gulf between the two, see Luke
chapter 16 for details. Satan required the life and blood of Jesus Christ
before he would release the departed spirits that was the ransom price; the
purpose of the death of Christ, and the way in, which he took on death, was
demanded by Satan. So when you read Heb. 2:14, you find that the Messiah paid
the price to destroy the power given to Satan, so now Satan can no longer hold
the departed Spirits, when he was destroyed, the departed spirits that was
REDEEMED by the blood of the Messiah was set
free, that is what Redemption means, being set free from bondage.
So now we have
shown you an actual Redemption that
took place at the death of the Messiah. But we have a problem, do you believe
what you have read in Heb. 2:14? This is one of the works of God that is spoken
of in 1 Cor. 2:14. NOW we have another problem, you cannot have a mass
Redemption without having a RESURRECTION. Now we really have a big problem, all
the Scripture that I have shown you have proven that the Mystery
of the prophets and their prophecies, that
they were manifested in the first century, then they were also fulfilled.
So do you BELIEVE
that a Resurrection has already took
place? If you BELIEVE “the things of God”, then I have shown that all the Mysteries
of God has already been manifested to the
saints, and have been fulfilled.
Now in the event
that I have not fully convinced you
of these matters, look with me at Hosea 6:1-3, Hosea is saying that there will
be a resurrection on the third day, which was the third day of the Messiah’s
death, that is on the day of His resurrection there would be a mass
resurrection. So you don’t BELIEVE that, then look at the Scriptures in Matt.
27:50-53, here you have the resurrection of the Messiah and after His
resurrection, the graves were opened, and many of the saints coming out of the
tombs after His resurrection entered the holy city and appeared to many. You
BELIEVE this because you do not want to commit blasphemy. NOW the Apostle speaks of another resurrection, 1 Cor. 15:12-23,
and says in verses 12 and 13, “Now if Christ is preached, that he has been
raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection.
V—13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been
raised”.
NOW,
there was a REDEMPTION, we all BELIEVE that, but we do not all believe that it
has already took place, men who do not teach that “the things of God”, teach
that it is yet future, yet I have shown you where God said through the Holy
Spirit and the Apostle Paul, that the Mystery
which was the Manifestation, or the revealing of the Mystery,
that when it was manifested to the saints, Col. 1:26, then it was Fulfilled. So
a part of the resurrection was accomplished when the Messiah was resurrected.
See Rev. 14:1-5 for further details of this resurrection. Then we are told by
inspired source, the Apostle Paul in 1 Cor. 15:12-23, that when the Messiah
came back that He would receive those who was not resurrected in Matt.
27:50-53, so this one is connected with 1 Cor. 15:23 “at His coming”. Now if
you BELIEVE that all the Mystery of the Gospel,
of which the prophets spoke of was as the Bible clearly shows through the Mysteries
that all the Mysteries
were fulfilled in the first century, then you are a correct BELIEVER in
the things of God.
We started this
discussion with a Spiritual man named
Daniel, and Daniel dealing with revealing a Mystery,
this man also gave a commentary on the book of revelation, and in his last
chapter he asked the angel for an interpretation of these events, Dan. 12:6-7,
“when the power of the holy people would be destroyed all these events will be
completed”. Now from Daniel Chapter 7 to the last verse of Chapter 12 Daniel is
foretelling the destruction of Israel, and when Israel was destroyed all these
events were completed, fulfilled. So since Daniel talks about the same
destruction we will look at Rom. 16:25, we will look at “One who is able to
establish you according to my Gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ,
according to the Revelation of the Mystery which
has been [PAST TENSE} kept secret for long ages past”. If you Believe God as
Abraham did, this one is able to establish you in truth. Rom. 11:25, it is
worthwhile to say that the first two chapters of Romans that Paul gave his
introduction, and then followed with events that existed then. Chapters 3—16
deals with the Mystery mentioned in 16:25.
Now we look to
the Revelation given to John. Rev.
10:7, “But in the days of the voice of the seventh
angel, when he is about to sound, then the MYSTERY of God is finished, as He preached to His servants the
prophets”. Now you may have read this passage a dozen times; but have
you taken the time to take your dictionary or a Greek dictionary and look up
the word “ABOUT”, you will find
that the
word denotes something in the process of taking place immediately, this word
has the same meaning as Rev. 1:1-3, V 1, “The things which must shortly take
place, V 3, “Heed the things which are written in it for the time is at hand”.
# 1. These statements
concur with the time table that
we saw in Dan, 12:6-7, also Matt. 24:1-34, Where the destruction of Israel is
carefully laid out, verse by verse, and then Jesus closes this discourse in
verse 34, where He says, “Truly I say to you, this GENERATION will not pass
away until all these things take place”. Common sense tells you that Jesus
meant the generation that He lived in, not generation’s 2,000 years future that
does not make sense to say He meant the generation of 2008!
# 2. The statements
made by Daniel and John Concur
with Luke 21:1-32, where Luke lays out the destruction of Israel, and Jesus
even says, “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize
that her destruction is at hand”. {Is at hand here means the same thing as it
means in Rev. 1:3, something in progress of happening}? So then the Angel in
Rev. 10:7 is referring to the destruction of Israel, all the prophets foretold
this event. So Then why does so many people preach and teach that Jesus is
coming back the “second time”, and of all that He will accomplish for the Jews,
He will re-build Jerusalem, He will re-build the Temple, He will restore the
Jews to their original land, HOG__WASH.
The Holy Spirit
said in Isaiah 25:1-3, that it would
never be re-built. Now listen to this and read it, Eph. 2:8-16, Jesus has made
the Jews and the Gentiles into one Spiritual nation. Do you really believe that
God is going to change His plan in order for men who do not preach “the things
of God” to accommodate their crooked and forbidden gospel. The case in point is
found in Gal. 1:6-9, read that some time.
# 3. Rev. 16:17,
“And the seventh angel poured out his
bowl upon the air; and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne
saying, “it is done”. “It is done”. Is an important phrase that needs our
honest and truthful consideration? Why is this so important?
# 4. First, if
we read the whole chapter, we will find
one verse that stands out as being the center of attention. Verse 15, “Behold I
am coming like a thief in the night, Blessed is the one who stays awake and
keeps his garments, lest he walk about naked and men will see his shame”.
“Behold I am Coming”, this was the time set by God for the Messiah to return to
planet Earth to complete the fulfillment of all prophecy, and to see to it that
Israel was destroyed as was foretold by the holy Prophets. In Zechariah 14:1-5,
which is the time that Rev, 16:15, has reference too, we see the return of the
Messiah as he stands on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem
V—4, We also see the description of destruction in regards to Jerusalem in Luke
Chapter 21, especially in verses 20-32. But in reference to Rev. 16:17, Matthew
gives a date as to when the Messiah would come to oversee the destruction of
Jerusalem, to ratify the Spiritual Covenant, making it Reality rather by
promise, and taking His Bride the Church, Rev. 19:7, Rev. 21:2. Matt. 24: 29-34
describes the signs, which will accompany His coming and verse 34 informs us
that it would be in His generation.
# 5. This misconception
of the “second coming” was
started by the Roman Catholic Church about the 10th century when
they began to add on to what they call St Peters Church; they wanted a huge
building lined with gold, in order to accomplish this they began teaching that
Christ was Coming soon, and they had to have a temple for him; they appealed to
the people in the way of threats, people that they controlled by their armies,
through the fear of death, the people responded. Later the Roman Catholic
Church decided on a greater building project, and knowing that the people under
fear of death would respond, so this time they sold indulgences, that is, the
people could buy the right to sin, and still they were using the “second
coming” to put fear into the hearts of people.
Then the same
Church became so powerful that they
could pray the peoples relatives out of hell, or, purgatory for a price, and
they continue to this day to teach the “second coming”, of the Messiah so the
people that came out of the Roman Catholic Church to start the reformation
movement in the 15th century, knew about the coming of
the Messiah
because the Catholic Church kept the Bible chained to the pulpit, only the
Priest had access to the Bible, and so as they established churches, they also
taught the “second coming”. As did the Roman Catholic Church.
# 6. Preachers
and leaders of Churches for the last
two hundred years, during the reformation movement, and afterwards, have taught
the “second coming’, as being yet future, it has become a doctrine; they have
predicted—how many times? That the Messiah would return on a certain day, and
all their predictions have failed. Why? Because His coming was foretold by the
prophets, and all prophecies have been fulfilled, when it is made known that
these Mysteries have been manifested to the
saints----that’s it folks.
I close my discussion
by saying, study your Bible, and
practice the things of God, not men, 1 Cor. 2:14.
OBSERVATIONS:
I think perhaps,
that as I observe the whole lesson,
Eph. 2:11-16, is an observation most needed to be discussed further. I know
that the question will arise, why does it need to be discussed, we know that
the Jews is God’s chosen people! ----Such question or answer is the very reason
that Eph. 2:11-16 should be discussed.
Reason # 1. The
people of the world has been so euphonized, with false
teaching in regards to the Jews
still being God’s chosen people, that some people would kill you over
disagreement of this issue, some would take food and clothing from their
children to give it to Agency’s which handles welfare for the Jews in
Jerusalem, while our Government is sending Billions of dollars in foreign aide,
as well as the most modern War equipment. The fact is the preachers, teachers
and Churches, which is begging you for your last dollar, is simply scamming
you, stealing for a warring nation, to whom God has forsaken. Wake
up WORLD---This
is the biggest International Scam the
world has ever known. For any hungry person I would give my last meal.
Reason # 2. There
is no Scripture in the Old
Testament, or in the New that clearly informs us that the Jews is still God’s
Chosen people, it is only there because you have been Mesmerized
all your life, that’s all you hear, the poor old Jews. You best begin to think
about poor old self.
Reason # 3. For
the facts please turn to the Old
Testament in Deuteronomy Chapter 28, if you notice God has sworn an oath, Deut.
29:10-15, here is the promise and the Oath of God. Now I want you to consider
that this promise and Oath is conditional, ----- YOU
----- know what that means. ---- WELL chapter 28 will tell you just how
conditional this chosen covenant and Oath went.
Notice Deut.
28:1-14, notice
and consider what the first verse says, --
“Now
it shall be, if you will diligently obey the Lord your
God, being careful to do all His commandments
which I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the
nations of the earth”
Now
go ahead and read through verse 14. Now
here is where the sad
part comes in,
Deut. 28:15-48, read the
first verse, this is the beginning of demise, and that because of sin. “But it”,
“shall come about, if you will not obey the Lord
your God, to observe to do all His commandments
and His statutes which I charge you today, that
all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you”. Now go ahead and
read to verse 47. Have you ever read curses of this kind, which has been
brought upon the people? Well you have not read anything yet. Now read
Deut. 28: 49
through 66, look at verse 49, “The Lord will
bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as the eagle
swoops down, a nation whose language you shall
not understand”. ----- This nation was Rome whom God prepared to come
against this sinful people, that He had given up on, and turned His back upon
them, because they would not obey Him, He gave up His chosen people the Jews,
and through the blood of Christ made one people out of them and the Gentile and
reconciled them both to God as ONE, Eph. 2:8-16.
Rome did not
come against this people without God’s
approval.
Germany did not
come against the Jews in 1940 without
God’s approval.
Remember the curse that
God put on this people until they were destroyed.
Reason # 4. I
plead with you the reader to study the book of Deuteronomy,
the
book of Isaiah the book of Joel. This purpose is for you to see how that
God blessed the nation of Israel when they purposed in their hearts to serve
God on His terms; they were blessed; they prospered. But when they turned from
God in disobedience, see how the nation suffered. Now you can see why the world
is in a Depression, and how that people of the world today is suffering, simply
because we have left God, and just as He done to Israel, He has done to us, He
has turned His back on sin. There is no more Israel. The Messiah died and His
blood brought all people to God as one Eph. 2:8-16.
No human on earth
today has the power to look into the
hearts of his fellowman and ascertain the man’s true motives. We are called
upon by God to think the best, believe the best and hope the best about each
other, 1 Cor. 13:7. My sole desire is to ascertain God’s Truth on matters that
will affect our eternal destiny. This is serious business. And the matter of
how to worship God has eternal consequences----Souls are at stake.
Since
God admonishes every accountable
person to be a sincere seeker of Truth, Prov. 23:23, John 7:17, genuine
Christians should have no hesitation in examining contrary viewpoints, My
prayer is that those will be willing to give their contrary viewpoint if you
have one, an honest hearing, with humility, and Prayer.
2
Tim. 2:15, “study to show thyself approved
by God, rightly handling the Words of truth”. ----- CAN ANYONE HERE TODAY TELL
THE TRUTH AND SAY I AM APPROVED BY GOD????
It has not been
my intention to violate your right to
hold, or teach another Gospel, Gal. 1:6-9, you have that right and choice. God
is your Judge, God is my Judge, and I ask that you not CASTIGATE
me for speaking what I know to be the truth.
